Håvard Haglo

Håvard holds a PhD in Exercise Physiology and is Head of Clinic at TreningsKlinikken, playing an important role in applying research to the development of our solutions and ensuring that our technology remains a market-leading solution.

Contributions and Research

Håvard Haglo, originally from Moss, has an extensive educational background in physiotherapy and exercise physiology. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from VIA University College in Århus in 2012, followed by a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology and Sports Medicine from NTNU in 2016.

His doctoral thesis “Pain and physical exercise - explanations, assessment and implications” was based on Patients with inflammatory rheumatic disease typically experience challenges with pain, fatigue and joint pain that create barriers to physical activity.

The findings from the thesis demonstrate the potential of effective physical interval and strength training as part of treatment for patients with inflammatory rheumatic disease. Furthermore, the results present some of the opportunities that exist for clinical practice by including low-cost digital tools (Myworkout GO) in training and assessment of physical capacity.
